Leanne Hart from Ardmore, OK is our guest on this weeks episode of Word With A Champ. Leanne provides a mother and wife’s perspective of, faith over fear. It has been a successful approach while watching her husband JW Hart ride bulls in the PBR for over a decade and a half. The Hart family hosted a Miniature Rodeo World Tour stop for their children and young cowboys and cowgirls in their community.
Johnny Hopkins created the Miniature Rodeo World Tour and Tuff Enuff Miniature Rodeo programs with his wife Peggy and son Levi. These events provide an opportunity for very young boys and girls to develop an interest in the sport of rodeo, and continue to hone skills as they get older. Johnny discusses the fact that the search and selection of appropriate livestock is a necessary challenge. That effort is met with the rewards of watching a participant overcome fear and jump for joy in the excitement of accomplishment. A worthy cause as explained on this weeks episode of Word With A Champ.
The Northern State University Wolverine Marching Band, from Aberdeen, South Dakota, provided quite a show for the annual Marching Band Day in Menno, SD. They were a great influence for all of the high school marching band members competing. We had the opportunity for an interview with the three drum majors, two gals and a very charismatic future Marine. Their enthusiasm expresses the opportunities, fun and potential scholarships in their field of entertainment around sports.
Sargent Les Bird Chief of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe in Lame Deer, Montana, is our guest for Word With A Champ. Sargent Bird Chief is the bravest man I have ever interviewed and it is an honor to have the opportunity to share what he has to say. It is people like this man that make our United States of America and keep her free. Thank you Les.
