The 40th Annual Indian National Finals Rodeo crowned champions in Las Vegas, Nevada recently. We had the privilege of visiting with Tie Down Roping Champion Dillon Sherrick, Oklahoma, Cherokee cowboy and rookie at the INFR. We also talked with South Dakotas, Oglala Lakota champ, Jeremy Meeks, whom possibly has the best success story this year, winning his third INFR Saddle Bronc Riding title.
The great horse nations are alive and well with talent once again with Buck Lunak, Blackfeet Indian cowboy from Montana. Mr. Lunak earned his third title recently at the 40th Annual Indian National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. Buck discusses his success riding bucking horses and his goal to earn a world title in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and being in the top fifteen now.
The 40th Annual Indian National Finals Rodeo concluded Saturday night in Las Vegas. We have the results of the Plain Green Final Round and champions crowned for each men’s and women’s events. Sloan Anderson, Cheyenne River Sioux and Joe Wilson, Oglala Lakota, share comments about their All Around victories.
Hunting is the original sport. Fortunately most of our lives don’t depend on it any more, it is for fun. Herman Herrlein and Kayla Lyngstad from south east South Dakota have lots of fun with their friends and dogs hunting, during pheasant season annually. They visit with us during a successful pheasant hunt on a beautiful Halloween Saturday afternoon.
