Hunkpapa Lakota, Chuck Schmidt from the Ft. Yates Indian Reservation in South Dakota, is our guest this week on Word With A Champ. The 2X Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier in Saddle Bronc Riding is an authentic cowboy and talented professional athlete. We think Chuck is a class act and you will enjoy our visit about his life and art of riding bucking horses.
Morgan Matheny of Florida, a 14 year old mini monster truck driver is our guest this week on Word With A Champ. Morgan visits about her desire and pursuit of a racing career. She is also a straight “A” student. Morgan is a fun, polite, young lady that shares her path to success with us.
Crow Indian relay race rider Dustin Kruger is our guest on this weeks Word With A Champ. Dustin and his team River Road won the 2017 season opener for the Professional Indian Horse Racing Association in Rapid City, South Dakota October 7, 8 & 9, 2016. The win begins the road to Billings for the All Nations Indian Relay Championships September 2017. Dustin visits about the success of his horses and team.
Sargent Dana Bowman, Green Beret veteran, is our guest today on Word With A Champ. We met Sgt. Bowman doing what he does now days, jumping out of airplanes and helicopters with a 2000 square foot American Flag at Professional Indian Horse Racing and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association events. Dana is the only double amputee to reenlist after loosing his legs in a parachute accident that killed his partner Sgt. Jose Aguillon. An incredible story of courage and overcoming odds.
Crow Indian cowboy Kennard Real Bird is our Guest on this weeks Word With A Champ. Kennard’s family has been raising horses for about 400 years. He is a popular rodeo and horse race announcer I had the pleasure of serving with at the All Nations Indian Relay Championships in Billings, Montana. An interesting interview with a good man.
