Randy-monster-X-286x300.jpgMy journey into the sports entertainment business has been life long, both challenging and rewarding. While a youngster, I was selling popcorn and peanuts while dad was racing. I learned much assisting the University of Wyoming rodeo club with production of one of the best NIRA rodeos in the nation. I have also produced events in large venues including Professional Rodeo, Bull Riding and Motor Sports. I have been involved with everything in production, from sales and marketing to the performances. My perspective on a successful event has depth.

After my first broadcasting class I knew I wanted to be an announcer. For years after each bareback horse I would gather my equipment, ice my elbow and listen to every word of every announcer I could, all over the United States, Canada and even Australia. Now I am blessed to announce over 100 performances a year, which I have been doing for over a decade.

On the home side, my beautiful wife Carmen and I reside in South Dakota with my boys Zachary and Branson, and our new baby girl, Raelynn Rose.

We love the country and the Black Hills. The boys are very active in school and sports activities. It’s an exciting time in our lives. We are blessed

RandyFirstCheckI like to laugh, I like live entertainment, I like sports and the drama that unfolds during each performance. I believe in capitalism. The sports entertainment world is the epitome of the American way. If we do a good job with sponsors, clowns and contestants, they advance, we succeed and obtain a return customer and increase ticket sales. When a man or a woman steps into the ring I know what it took to get them there – the production, practice, miles and “the horsepower.” Every time the gate cracks or the flag drops it’s game on, it entertains me and makes it easy for me to entertain you.

The best experience is always the people we get to deal with that influence us with their individual prowess. I am enthralled to share different view points from individuals I meet that are major league. In addition to live audiences, studio voice and broadcasting are of special interest. I am the host for “Word With A Champ” radio show launched July 4, 2011 on national radio network NV1. See next website pages for description of show & episodes or view nv1.org for potential participating stations.

Randy TaylorSaturday nite in Rapid City. It was a historical event as Soni Clifford is the first American Indian cowgirl for MRSD to ever be crowned. She is the pride of the Oglala Lakota Nation from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Soni is my Bareback Riding buddy Shane Clifford’s daughter and my dear friend, the late great CL Johnson’s niece, this means very much to me. Soni has a strong shot to be Crowned PRCA Miss Rodeo America for 2018.

Pictured L-R MRSD 2016 Mikayla Sich, MRSD 2017 Soni Clifford, my Princess Raelynn Rose, yours truly, my Queen Carmen Herrboldt Taylor and JrMRSD Adrianne Schaunaman. Many thanks to: #4BearsCasino, #JustinBootCo, #4BWebDesign & #Wrangler. Long live Cowgirls! Long live Cowboys! Long live Indians! !!!
