We have results from the fourth go-round of 10 from the 60th Annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and words with Shane O’Connell and other winners from the PRCA’s NFR round 4.
Navajo Derrick Begay won The team roping round three of 10 at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. The win earned him over $26,000 and moved him up to sixth in the World Standings in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The 60th Annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo continues through Saturday December 15th, 2018 when world champions will be crowned. Ogallala Lakota Bareback Bronc Rider, Shane O’Connell of South Dakota, picked up his first check ever as a rookie at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Cort Sheer, Saddle Bronc rider from Nebraska is winning the top gun award as he has won the first two rounds worth near $55,000 in 16 seconds. Sicangu Lakota Indian Cowboy Cooper Waln from the Rosebud Reservation in south-central South Dakota is our guest this week on Word With A Champ. Cooper represents Indian Country with the most elite job in his trade, fighting bulls on the 25th Professional Bull Riders “Unleash the Beast Tour”. A great visit to share from this very modest and talented working ranch cowboy that had made it to the big times.
Marshall’s Herman Byrne, 4X INFR Bullfighter of the Oglala Lakota from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in southwest South Dakota, is our guest today on Word With A Champ. A talented major league athlete shares his mind about his craft. Today he Is up against young bulls with young riders in the junior leagues of INFR bull riding then tonight he will be up against the mature and dangerous professional animal athletes, he presents an interesting perspective.
Two time and consecutive INFR Tour Season Champion, Bareback Bronc Rider, Steven DeWolfe, of the Oglala Lakota Nation in southwest South Dakota, is our guest this week on Word With A Champ. Steven shares a very active mind in his focus of becoming an Indian World Champion after seven qualifications for the INFR. We wish our very talented and classy gentleman, Steven DeWolfe success in all his life adventures, he is an inspiration to our youth of Indian country.

Very talented and modest individuals discuss their participation here at the 43rd annual celebration in the premier event in all Indian rodeo. It is fun to see these individuals excel and listen to what they have to say about their craft.

The Montana lady has dominated the Horse Nations Indian Relay Council Maidens Races the last four years. Autumn is soft-spoken and defines the word lady, one that will take your money riding the horses that are hauled for her from Wyoming’s Wind River Indian Reservation.
