Jamie Willert is our guest on Word With A Champ this week. Jamie is a working ranch cowboy, a farrier, a PRCA saddle bronc rider and the organizer of a working ranch horse contest in his community, Kadoka, SD. We were very interested in the contestants that rope and ride and tend cattle on a daily basis, that came to compete and have fun. The best part of the competition featured young boys and girls on their horses. This working horse competition is an opportunity for people on horses of any value be able to participate and win.
Donnie Landis, rodeo clown, is a level above in the entertainment business, regarded for making people laugh and have fun. Donnie performs in small town rodeos with 1500 people in attendance and large venues with as many as 65,000 in attendance as Houston Rodeo. No matter where, his ideas are the same, do the best you can every time. His attitude got him elected to perform at the super bowl of rodeo twice, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
Skeeter Kingsolver is a 2X qualifier for the Professional Bull Riders, World Finals in Las Vegas at 24 years of age. An interesting story ensues after he saw a flyer for a bull riding school in a gas station, when he was 12 years old, in his small hometown, McLouth, Kansas. Skeeter, absorbed what he learned at the 3 day school and has become one of the outstanding talents in a field of contestants with much depth in the PBR. His talent is backed with a rare combination of confidence and modesty. His natural flow riding bulls is obvious in his game plan for each animal, none; Kingsolver is a master of bull riding technique mixed with natural athleticism.
“Big Foot”, Monster X World Tour, monster truck driver JR Adams of Indiana, is our guest on this weeks episode of Word With A Champ for NV1 Radio Network. JR is a very cordial individual that has a ride with possibly the best racing team in his field. Adams discusses his climb to the seat with the Big Foot Team and the determination and work involved. The “Big Foot” originator Bob Chandler created a promotional truck for his 4-wheel drive shop 39 years ago. Chandlers idea has turned into a world wide motor sports entertainment industry, going strong today as we report from Wroclaw, Poland.
Word With A Champ is pleased to have Tehvyn Goodwin, a 19 year old Monster X Truck driver that is a prodigy in his field of competition. The young man has launched monster trucks and his career to Monster X World Tour competition as seen this week in Poland. Tehvyn discusses and believes in dreaming big, and continuing to follow your dreams to achieve desired goals.
Bill Payne, driver of Rock Star monster truck is our guest for this week episode of Word With A Champ, reporting from Lodz, Poland, on the Monster X World Tour. Bill discusses his life representing the state of Washington in travels near and far as well as his attitude climbing to the top by not being afraid to fail. This man is successful and self made, he states education builds a foundation for creativity, and that allows an individual to do whatever they may desire.
Four-time World Champion Sherry Cervi (Marana, AZ) is the winningest barrel racer of all time with more than $2.3 million in career earnings. Cervi has qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and amazing 16 times and won her World Titles in 1995, 1999, 2010 and 2013 recently in Las Vegas. Cervi is on Team Justin Boots and was also an all-conference basketball player in high school. Sherry modestly discusses what lead her to dominate the 55th Annual Wrangler NFR in Ladies Barrel Racing sanctioned by the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association.
Matt Bohon of Missouri a professional athlete in the true sense of the term and our guest this week on Word With A Champ for NV1 Radio Network. His hard work and passion for his sport has taken him to stardom, qualifying for the Professional Bull Riders World Finals in Las Vegas five times in an, eleven year, illustrious career. In Matt’s drive for a sixth trip to the city of lights, he discuses the brass tacks of success and survival competing against the largest and meanest opponents in the world, bucking bulls.

Retired from competition, Mark is a working ranch cowboy in the sand hills of his home state where he successfully raises top of the line bucking bulls. His discussion with us demonstrates his commitment to his family and his contribution to an organization of a sport that is now world wide, the PBR.
Five time World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider and twenty one time qualifier for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Billy Etbauer took the time to visit with us recently. Billy discussed his upbringing riding cows and broncs with his brothers Robert and Dan. In retirement from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, returning to a working cowboy way of life appears to be on the horizon for this great person and champion.
